What a Workspace is for
Use one Workspace per durable area of work: a client engagement, product launch, research topic, policy library, or internal team project. It gives related conversations a shared context boundary while keeping unrelated work separate.
A Workspace is different from a normal chat folder. Folders organize conversations. A Workspace can also hold a reusable document library whose ready files are available to chats created inside it.
- Group project chats and files under one clear name.
- Create folders inside a Workspace when a project has several workstreams.
- Reuse processed files across the Workspace instead of re-uploading them per message.
- Pin important Workspaces so they stay easy to reach on desktop and mobile.
Create a Workspace and add files
- 1Open Workspaces from the Chat navigation and choose New workspace.
- 2Give it a specific project name so collaborators can understand its scope.
- 3Upload files to the main library or to a Workspace folder.
- 4Wait for each file to show Ready before relying on it in a chat.
- 5Start a new chat from that Workspace and ask a question that identifies the document or decision you need.
Get better answers from Workspace files
Describe the outcome and the source scope in the same prompt. For example: “Compare the renewal terms in the 2025 and 2026 agreements in this Workspace, list material changes, and flag missing information.” This is more reliable than asking a broad question without naming the documents or decision.
For a large library, ask for the exact facts, sections, dates, or entities you care about. LLMBase retrieves relevant passages rather than placing every byte of every file into every turn.
Access and deletion
Workspace membership and organization policy determine who can view or change a shared Workspace. Removing a file stops it from being used by future Workspace chats while its associated stored data is cleaned up.
Deleting a Workspace also removes its project scope and chats. Export or download anything you must retain before deletion, and use the confirmation screen to verify the exact Workspace name.
Frequently asked questions
Does every chat see every Workspace file?
Only chats inside that Workspace can use its ready library files. Normal chats and chats in other Workspaces do not inherit that library.
Can I close the app while a Workspace file is processing?
Yes. Workspace processing can continue or retry after you leave the page. Check the file status before using it in a chat.
